So every year we do Memorial Day Murph on Memorial Day to honor LT Michael P Murphy (SEAL) who died during his service. It’s one of the most strenuous workouts that we do all year. Some people do it for the first time. Some people do it for the 10th time. Some people wear weight vests, full boots, or firefighter gear. It starts with a 1-mile run, then 100 pull-ups, then 200 push-ups, then the dreaded 300 air squats, and finished with 1-mile run. It takes between 35 to 60 minutes to complete.
Don't worry if you are newer to fitness, we will modify it for you. For example, instead of pull-ups, you could do ring rows, jumping pull-ups, or banded pull-ups.
We are offering this class 2 times at 6 AM , 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM, with all other classes canceled that day. Please invite friends and family to do Murph with you as our guests with no drop-in fee.
It is important to remember that The Murph Challenge is more than just a workout. It is a tradition that helps push us, humble us, and allows us the opportunity to dedicate a bit of pain and sweat to honor LT. Michael P. Murphy (SEAL), a man who sacrificed everything he had for our freedom.
