A Journey to the 2024 Adaptive CrossFit Games!

We’re thrilled to announce that Sarah Kendrick, a fierce competitor and an inspiring athlete, has qualified to compete in the Adaptive CrossFit Games (Neuro Division). Her story is one of determination, resilience, and pushing through the toughest challenges life can throw your way. She will take the stage at the 2024 CrossFit Games in San Antonio from September 19-22!

Meet Sarah Kendrick

Sarah was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) during her college years. For those unfamiliar, MS is an autoimmune disease that affects the spinal cord and brain, making it difficult to manage balance, internal body temperature, and the physical toll of training. Despite these challenges, Sarah's unrelenting spirit has led her to excel in the sport she loves.

MS may try to slow her down, but Sarah doesn't back down. She adapts, overcomes, and thrives. This year, after being approved to compete in the Neuro Minor Division by Wheelwod, Sarah smashed her qualifying rounds and earned her spot at the 2024 CrossFit Games. Her hard work, dedication, and perseverance have paid off, and now it's time for her to shine on one of the biggest stages in the sport.

Coach Colin Schmidt

Sarah’s journey has been powered by another incredible person—her coach, Colin Schmidt. Colin has been by Sarah’s side for the past six years, starting from their early training days at Starr.Fit in 2018. Together, they’ve faced every obstacle and milestone head-on, pushing limits and proving that nothing is impossible with the right mindset and support.

Throughout their partnership, Sarah and Colin have celebrated some major wins, including qualifying for the Mid Atlantic CrossFit Challenge in 2020 and achieving an impressive second-place finish at Wodapalooza in 2023. This year, their focus is on an even bigger goal: competing at the CrossFit Games..

A Community of Support

Now is the time for us to come together and rally behind Sarah and Colin as they prepare for this incredible event. The energy, the spirit, the community—they’re what make CrossFit so special. Let’s show Sarah and Colin that they’ve got a whole army of supporters rooting for them from home! With Coach Colin’s unwavering support, Sarah’s incredible determination, and our cheers along the way, we know she has what it takes to make it happen.

Why This Matters

Sarah’s story reminds us that no matter the challenge—whether it's physical, mental, or emotional—there’s always a way forward. Her journey is about much more than competing; it’s about resilience, finding strength in adversity, and proving that our limitations don't define us.

So, mark your calendars for September 19-22 and get ready to witness greatness. Let's come together and support Sarah as she takes on the 2024 Adaptive CrossFit Games. We can’t wait to see her push past every limit and leave everything on the floor in San Antonio.
